Racing
Miss Seer had a day to forget at Gunnedah, following her good win at Gilgandra. Stinking hot, in a foul mood, and stuck in the gates while another runner was being re plated , added up to a “forgettable performance.” She will go to Cessnock on Tuesday, 2 February over 1150m, in what may be her last run this preparation.
Hell Raiser Boy is slowly getting up in distance and, although still very green, we are hoping he will put it all together at his next run over 1600m at Tamworth on Monday, 1 February.
Training/Agisting
Karino is working along steadily, doing pacework and is due to trial at the end of February.
Barn Buster has had one jump out, where he finished just behind the winner. He will have another shortly and trainer, Ciaron Maher is looking at a start mid February.
Grande Attack trialled nicely at Rosehill on Friday, 22 January and will have her first start this preparation at Kembla Grange on Saturday, 30 January over 1400m.
Tech’s Gem has come back into work a much more settled filly. She has had 3 weeks of pre training and will shortly transfer to the Rosehill stables of Greg MacFarlane.
Musical Lady has arrived at Rosehill, and while it took her a couple of days to settle in, she is now eating well and enjoying her work. A lightly framed filly, she will have a month in the stable, before going for a let up.
Stratance has had a week of pre training and will be in David Payne’s Rosehill stables by the middle of February.
Little Tiger , following his injury, has gone to the paddock to recover.
Grandiva will trial at the Gold Coast on February 2. Her work has been pleasing.
Queen Asa has commenced pre training and we are looking to have her in Michael Kent’s stables late February/ early March.
Grand Lady will continue in the paddock for another month.
The Glorious Lady and AMALFI yearlings are due to commence breaking in.
Happy Racing Graeme
