Racing

Zedlion came back to racing with a top performance, winning well with 61.5kgs at Nowra. Will start next at Kembla, 24 December over 1400m.

Musical Lady broke her maiden status with a strong win at Canberra, carrying 58kgs and giving away weight to the colts and geldings in the field. She followed up with 2 very good, but unlucky efforts to run 2nd and 3rd at Kembla, having no luck securing a clear run in the straight. She will go next to Kembla again, Wednesday 28th December over 2000m.

Training/Agisting

Jezacious Spirit has gone for a break following pulling up sore from a jump out in which she performed very well. She will return to work mid January.

Beekman Arms has returned to the paddock not fully recovered from his injury.

Dalswinton Road trialled impressively at Pakenham, winning by 6 lengths. He will have his first start this preparation at Sale, on Saturday 24th December.

The More than Ready/Kosi Bay filly , named Maphelane, had approx 6 weeks with Mark Kavanagh before going to the paddock for a break.

The Encosta De Lago/Categorical filly, named Absolvent, came into Danny O‘Brien’s stables once the Carnival was over. She appears to be handling all that is happening around her at this stage. Plans are to give her a jump out/trial early January before sending her to the paddock.

The Holy Roman Emperor/Mocha filly , named applied for Caffeina, has settled in well with Grahame Begg at Randwick. Up to running home the last 200m, Grahame has had her through the gates, which she took in her stride and will push on, until she tells him it is time for a break.

The Encosta De Lago/Push a Venture filly, going to Chris Waller, has completed pre training and has gone for a break, giving herself a knock to a hock. Nothing serious, but as she was coming to the end of her first preparation, we decided to give her a break.

The AWESOME AGAIN/DEFRERE’S VENTURE filly has been broken in, spelled and will commence work with BJORN BAKER once partnership filled.
