ZEDLION SCORES TOUGH WIN FIRST UP

ZEDLION went to Nowra first up this preparation and scored a tough win. Burdened with 61.5kgs and drawing closer to the car park than the fence, jockey Brad Pengelly was never able to get closer than 3 wide. Up on the speed and facing the breeze, he let down strongly once he balanced up on turning for home, to win untouched by ¾ length. He will go next to Kembla Grange on Saturday, 24th December.

MUSICAL LADY has raced twice since her win at Canberra and has put in top performances both times. Due to her racing pattern back in the field, she often has trouble securing a clear passage and in both starts lack of clear running was the difference between winning and finishing 2nd and 3rd. She will line up next at Kembla on Wednesday, 28th over 2000m.

DALSWINTON ROAD trialled impressively at Pakenham, early December, winning by 6 lengths. He has come back a bigger, stronger horse this preparation and will start at Sale on Saturday, 24th December over 1414m.

LATEST LEASE PARTNERSHIP

Our latest Lease Partnership will go to Bjorn Baker, at Warwick Farm. Bjorn has recently set up in Sydney, after a successful career in NZ, where he trained in partnership with his father, Murray.

The filly, by the champion US racehorse and sire, AWESOME AGAIN out of a stakes winning mare in DEFRERE’S VENTURE, is the only one in Australia by this sire. Visit adenastallions.com to fully understand his great success, not only on the track, but also in the breeding barn. Awesome Again is the sire of the Champion’s GHOSTZAPPER and GINGER PUNCH.

She has been broken, spelled and is now ready to commence pre training. We will bring her straight into Bjorn’s stable, once the partnership has been filled.

Communication consists of emails, website access, newsletters, telephone calls together with a monthly a/c and short summary of where the horse is in its work etc. Monthly accounts include photocopies of all invoices charged for the month, so you can keep track of all expenditure.

Look forward to discussing with you. Kind Regards, Graeme.

CHRIS WALLER –Latest trainer for Thoroughbred Leasing Partnership

Chris Waller will train our latest Sydney Partnership, taking control of a lovely chestnut filly by ENCOSTA DE LAGO, from the good producing mare, PUSH A VENTURE. A full sister to GLOWLAMP and from the same family as sire, ROCK OF GILBRALTER, the filly is currently in pre training. Chris has followed up his great 2010 – 2011 season Trainers Premiership winning effort, by leading again in the current season.

UPDATE – THOROUGHBRED LEASING SYNDICATE

BEEKMAN ARMS suffered foot soreness when coming back into work and Tim Martin has decided to ease up on him until fully cleared up. He has returned to the paddock where he is doing very well. We should see him back in work towards the end on the month.

JEZACIOUS SPIRIT performed very well in a barrier jump out with Matt Dunn ( who is experiencing a very good strike rate winners to runners at the moment). Unfortunately she pulled up shin sore and has gone for a 6 week break.

DJINDA performed below expectations during this preparation, and we have terminated the lease and returned her to her breeder.

STABLE TALK

ABSOLVENT, the Encosta De Lago/ Categorical filly is at Flemington, with Danny O’Brien, having her first taste of stable life. She appears to be taking it all in her stride so far and plans are for her to have a jump out/trial early January before going to the paddock for 6 weeks.

The Holy Roman Emperor/ Mocha filly, CAFFEINA (name applied for – “Roman Goddess of Coffee”) has been with Grahame Begg at Randwick for 4 weeks and is pleasing with her work and attitude, although she is a slow learner - a family trait, according to her breeder.

CHARZED has come back into Jason Deamer’s Newcastle stable and is working along steadily. She matured nicely during her 8 week break and is handling stable life well.

VATUVEI returned to work on the 29/11 and is coming to hand nicely. Peter Moody plans to have him back at Caulfield mid January, and reports he did extra well during his break.

JOIN AN EXISTING RACING PARTNERSHIP

From time to time, shares become available in existing partnerships as individual circumstances change and for one reason or another, partners have to cease their involvement. Currently, we have a couple of shares available in this category, so if you would like to get a share in a horse and have something running around very quickly, please call me on (0407) 948483 or email me at gsm08619@bigpond.net.au

Happy Racing
