RESULTS, TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS
We are coming into a busy period with a number of runners getting ready to race after trialling, some due to trial and others continuing in their racing preparations. GRANDE ATTACK trialled within herself at Rosehill on Friday, 22 January, finishing 4th and came through the run in fine style. She has been nominated for Kembla Grange, Saturday, 30 January in a 1400m class 1 F & Mares Hcp.
ZEDLION had his first trial on the same day and whilst very green, acquitted himself well. Trainer, Gerald Ryan, plans to take him to Wyong on Thursday, 11 February for his debut, over 1000m.
GRANDIVA is due to trial at the Gold Coast on Tuesday, 2 February and , all going well, will also have a start on the 11th at Ipswich, over 1000m.
LITTLE TIGER, following his injury on the cusp of going to the trials, has been sent to an enclosed small yard as he continues to recover from his setback. Keeping him confined will spend up his recovery and we will soon see him well on the mend.
MISS SEER ran into a day she ( and us) would like to forget, at Gunnedah 15 January. A shocker on the weather front, with no breeze, saw temperatures around the 35 degree mark, she was in no mood to race, attempting to savage the Clerk of the Course’s horse, refused to parade in the enclosure and was let out onto the track early, then was locked in the gates for at least 5 minutes whilst a runner was re plated, all added up to a recipe for disaster. She put in her worst ever performance that said “forget I went around”. Trainer, Geoff O’Brien plans to give her one more run this preparation at Cessnock, on Tuesday 2 February over 1150m.

UPDATE - YARRAMAN WINE AND RACING SYNDICATE
BARN BUSTER had a jump out at Camperdown on Thursday, 21 January over 850m. He went nicely, finishing 2nd, doing everything right. Trainer, Ciaron Maher, plans to give him another within 2 weeks and, all going well he will make his debut. Last preparation he had to be scratched on the morning of his debut with an elevated temperature, so hopefully all goes smoothly this time. HELL RAISER BOY went to a 1600m BM 55 Handicap, at Gunnedah, on the same day as Miss Seer, and showed surprising gate speed on jumping, however he pulled too hard early, wouldn’t settle and showed he still has a lot to learn. Jumping up from the 1280m to 1600m was a step too far, but jockey, Peter Graham, believed the run will clean him out for his next start, which will be at Tamworth, Monday 1 February, over the same distance and back in his own class. The ARENA-CALICHE filly is booked into pre training first week in February. All members of the Syndicate receive a COMPLIMENTARY 2 pack of YARRAMAN ESTATE wines on joining, a COMPLIMENTARY case of wine in August, 2010 and a further COMPLIMENTARY case every 6 months, for the life of the Syndicate. STABLE TALK
MUSICAL LADYarrived at Gerald Ryan’s Rosehill stables on Monday, 18 January for her first preparation. A lightly framed filly, she will spend approximately a month in work before going out for another break.
KARINO
TECH’S GEM has shown she has benefitted greatly from her time in the paddock and this time in, her work and attitude have improved immensely. She has had 3 weeks of pre training and will shortly come into the Rosehill stables of Greg MacFarlane, who is having a purple patch at the moment with Oopsy Doopsy and Blood Angel.
STRATANCE has commenced pre training at Limitless Lodge after a 7 week break. She will spend 4 weeks at Limitless, before coming into David Payne at Rosehill. A staying filly, we would like to see her get to the trials/jump out this preparation.
GRAND LADY will continue in the paddock for another 4 weeks to allow her time to fully recover from a bout of travel sickness, contracted during her transfer from Murwillumbah to Quirindi.
QUEEN ASA has completed her spell and trainer, Michael Kent is very happy with her appearance following the break. A filly who has shown obvious potential on the track, should be back racing when the tracks get a bit softer, around April/ May.
NEW LEASES
We have 2 new leases available, offering varied financial involvement. Both are relatives of winners raced by us and out of mares we had success with on the race track. Go to LEASES AVAILABLE for details.
